What is the membership program about?
Though it was founded in 1853, the Chowan University Alumni Association
became a dues-based membership organization in 2006 to raise funds for an
Alumni Scholarship Fund. Membership is open to all alumni of Chowan
University. Membership establishes a direct link between the institution
and the people who are dedicated to maintaining a tradition of academic
excellence, service and involvement in their alumni family.

What is the membership money used for?
Your dues support the Parks Memorial Alumni Scholarship,
the annual Outstanding Academic Advisor Award , and all other alumni
programming.
Does giving to the Annual Fund or Hawks Club make
me a member of the Alumni Association?
No, giving to the Annual Fund or the Hawks Club does not make you a member
of the Alumni Association. If you have questions about your Alumni
Association membership status, please contact us.
Does the Alumni Association have a Lifetime
Membership Program?
The Alumni Association Board of Directors has approved a Lifetime
Membership Program. With one easy payment of $300. Alumni can look forward
to a lifetime connection to Chowan. Lifetime members receive all Alumni
Association benefits as well as a special membership card, car decal and
lapel pin.
